The Responder 3™ is an extension PA/Speaker and microphone for the Rescom® Hard line communication system. This device offers hands free audio to external parties. The microphone is activated only when it is needed by using a PTT button, reducing noise to the headset users. It enables personnel to operate in a relatively low noise environment, in a non-teathered manner, to a distance of approximately 15m or 50’ and without wearing headsets.

With a rugged water resistant construction, protected PTT button and Low Battery Indicator, this unit assists in many team based work environments and emergency situations. This unit connects to any Rescom® system, as an accessory.

SED Inc.® Headsets have evolved, with two new products. Industry recognized hearing protection, comfort, and durability is now available for your WiFi® handset, PDA or Cell Phones, or direct communication through your computer - no sound card needed!

SED Inc.® Hearing Protection is designed specifically for high noise, industrial, and challenging environments with 24dB noise reduction. These new designs incorporate all the benefits of noise reduced communication with the additional ability to connect directly to a USB port or your 2.5mm handheld headset plug.

These versatile headsets are lightweight, exceptionally clear and ensure a secure fit for absolute privacy on incoming communications. The electret noise canceling gooseneck boom microphone provides optimal flexibility, allowing the wearer to adjust the microphone precisely to their preference. The included wind screen improves clarity by eliminating wind noise.

The unique combination of adjustable behind-the-head steel tension band and two fully adjustable Velcro® straps, aids in a secure fit even under a hard hat or helmet. NEW CABLE REELS OFFER PORTABLE AND CONTINUOUS COMMUNICATION FOR 2 TO 10 TEAM MEMBERS

Whether you are looking to expand your existing Rescom Confined Space Communication System or assemble a new communication system that can be more quickly deployed, SED Inc. has produced portable Cable Reels with electrical connections. This new product provides personnel with continuos communication, quick deployment and compact storage of up to 2000 feet of rope or cable.

Three Connectors at the reel allow direct connection without the need of an additional junction box. T-Connectors can also be added to expand the system for multiple personnel, connecting up to ten headsets. The benefit to this new system is that anyone in the line can now disconnect at any time without disrupting communications from the rest of the team.

The Cable Reels are designed for use in rugged working conditions featuring a Cam Lock Cable Brake, stowable hand crank, heavy duty construction and safety reflectors, for locating in dim lit environments. Pneumatic tires are an important part of the reel’s construction for fast and easy use on broken ground and challenging terrain.

Specially designed anchor is included, offering additional durability for cable and connections. The rust resistant anchor accommodates a carabiner or other fastening device for easy attachment.

EXPAND YOUR RADIO USE INTO CHALLENGING ENVIRONMENTS

Expand your radio use into challenging environments by adding the HALO™ VOX/PTT interface and headset combo. HALO™ connects your radio to a headset assuring reliable, secure, hands-free communication. This combination is intrinsically safe, water resistant and versatile.

When connected to a hand-held radio, the interface gives the user the option of communicating in either push-to-talk (PTT) or voice operated transmission (VOX) mode without touching the radio. Simply flip the switch for hands free operation. The large targeted PTT button simplifies transmission even when wearing bulky gloves, and comes in two styles, recessed or raised. A variety of headsets and microphone configurations can be provided for use in confined spaces or high noise environments. HALO™ is a great value added addition to your radio line-up.

Depending on your application, you may choose to use the DuraCORE™ Communication Cable system, or if you are seeking to improve line management and speed deployment, you can use the Combined Safety/Communication Rope rated to N.F.P.A. standards. Adverse environments are not an issue. The rope is so rugged it can be submersed in water with its connectors down to 35’ deep, without affecting function - for any length of time! Having the safety line and communications cable combined simplifies set up and deployment and saves valuable time when it really counts. Rescom® Modular™ is the only communications system on the market using a high performance communications rope with guaranteed connector attachments.

This entire system can be battery powered for up to 50 hours in a 10 man system or up to 240 hours in a 3 man system. By using two master headsets, you can provide a back-up power supply – no need to stop work to change batteries! Each system contains a portable Junction Box made of sturdy, yet lightweight, chemical resistant PVC.
